Excursion Guide

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead snowmobile tours in a safe manner on the North Shore
• Assist in maintenance of the Infinity Ice Rink
• Lead daily Kayak tours on Lake Superior
• Lead North Shore focused Excursions
• Execute food & beverage components of specific excursions
• Lead naturalists tours
• Learn and showcase extensive knowledge of the area to our guests
• Attend to recreation related amenities at the resort
• Assist in other variety of responsibilities and duties

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Recreation Manager as well as the Guest Services Manager while having peer reporting with Guest Services Agents and Central Reservation Agents.

Central Reservations Agent

The position:
North Shore Resort Company is seeking candidates with a friendly and professional voice to work in our Central Reservations Department located within the Superior Shores Resort property of Two Harbors, Minnesota.

Company Information:
North Shore Resort Company is a relatively new company formed in 2018 as a division of Campbell Hospitality Group to acquire and operate landmark resort properties on Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior. Currently the company owns and manages the two largest resorts on the North Shore consisting of almost 400 rooms with a capacity of 1500 guests, 3 restaurants, and event spaces. We are continuously updating our properties and have a strong focus on creating new unique guest experiences as we transition our properties from 3 star resorts to 4+ star properties.

Lutsen Resort is Minnesota’s first and oldest resort and has been in continuation operation since 1885. Lutsen has been showcasing its picturesque location on the North Shore of Lake Superior for 135 years. Our resort features a private stone beach complete with red Adirondack chairs for viewing the lake that match our historic red Scandinavian lodge designed by renown architect Edwin Lundie. Exploring the grounds of Lutsen Resort also includes viewing the water falls of the Poplar River from our famous red covered bridges. The resort features a fine dining restaurant, a second casual pub, wedding and event facilities, spa and golf course complimented by 165 lodging units sleeping over 750 guests per night making it one of 2 of the largest resorts on the North Shore both owned by North Shore Resort Company which prides itself of being family owned and operated.

Maintenance Technician

Mission: To work within out Maintenance & Facilities department on a daily basis with the focus on the guest! Take pride in knowing your hard work leads to creating a great experience for the guest! Every task completed by the maintenance and facilities team should be done in a manor that takes pride in knowing it was done perfectly to create a flawless guest experience! Most importantly, to ensure the resort is always in a “presentable” position; well maintained facilities and neat and tidy and well cared for grounds.

Department Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work on a daily basis with the focus on the guest!
• Execute full daily task list provided through our Maintenance Work Order Software in regards to maintenance & repairs, groundskeeping, and tending to the facilities of the resort
• Daily facilities checks: Everything in working order, presentable. Interior & exterior. (window screens, PTAC covers, all exterior lights working, all interior lights working)
• Maintain over all quality of the resort buildings and grounds
• Maintain “resort presentation” via our “neat and tidy rule”
• Maintain excellent guest satisfaction scores of above 90% via our guest surveys
• Ensure that pool facilities are always well looked after and “safe”
• Ensure the company service standards are fully embraced and supported
• Maintain your uniform and ensure you are 4+ star presentable and professional
• Participate in safety meetings and do your part to make sure the department is achieving an accident free workplace
• Maintain excellent communication with your co-workers and peers of other departments for a successful department
• Maintain full knowledge of workplace manuals
• Study, adopt and showcase our company’s “Standards of Service” from the provided materials

Department Duties:
Management of the Maintenance Department which includes efficient operations in relation to:
• Operations of mechanical systems
• Execution of filed Work Orders (work orders are filed by various departments for repair needs)
• Landscaping & Snow Removal
• Maintaining neat and orderly grounds at all times
• Firewood management
• “Night Houseman” tasks (unless under housekeeping)
• “Day Houseman” tasks (unless under housekeeping)
• Garbage and waste management
• All property management needs for the condo associations at the resort
• Full and proper billing and reporting for times and materials
• Routine checklists for “good working order or excellent condition” of all infrastructure at the resort from lighting to heating, from railings to potholes.

Reporting Structure:
• Maintenance personnel reports to the Director of Facilities
• Peer Reporting Structure with several departments

Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparing rooms & suites for guest arrival
• Daily turn-down service for in house guests

• Preparing all linens for “in room ready” status (perfectly folded and pressed)
• Attending to overall cleanliness of the entire resort (common areas and grounds)

Guest Service Agent

• Studying and obtaining full knowledge of our training and procedural documents including our 24 steps of service; an enhanced version of the traditional 12 steps of service

• Tending to our guests dining experience from the first greeting to the farewell in a manner that showcases 5 star service
• Tending to the non-service related daily, weekly and monthly tasks of the dining room in regards to cleanliness, room presentation, and care of fixtures and equipment
